Giorgio Ferrari was born in Novara (Italy) in 1973. He received the Laurea degree and the Ph.D.
degree from Politecnico di Milano in Electronics Engineering in 1999 and 2003, respectively.
In 2005, he joined the Department of Electronics Engineering of Politecnico di Milano as Assistant
Professor. He has carried out part of the research activity in STMicroelectronics (Fremont, USA)
and at the MDM Laboratory of Italian Institute for the Physics of Matter (Agrate Brianza, Italy).
His primary research interests concern the development of very low noise instrumentation for high
sensitivity electrical measurements on nanodevices and biosamples.
He is author or co-author of >60 papers on international journals and has contributed more
than 70 papers to conferences. He is co-inventor of 5 patents and has participated to five
project funded by the European Community.
